New graduation works from in the permanent exhibition of costume jewellery
The fashion jewellery exhibition features graduation projects by students of the Jablonec School of Applied Arts from the last three years, which museum has been regularly acquiring for its collections since the mid-20th century. The works were created in four fields of study at this vocational educational institution: Plastic and Graphic Engraving Design, Costume Jewellery and Fashion Accessory Design, Metal and Jewellery, and Graphic Design. In these works, students strive to capitalize on the practical technical and technological experience they have gained during their four years of specialization and translate it into attractive and useful designs. These include not only wearable jewelry or fashion accessories using metal, glass stones and beads, plastics or textiles, but also the design of practical items such as knives, bottle openers, or wine bottle stands. In their work, students use both traditional craft techniques and modern methods such as laser cutting or 3D printing.
