Declaration of accessibility

As per Act no. 99/2019 Coll., on Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications in the Public Sector, and amending Act no. 365/2000 Coll., on Public Administration Information Systems and Amending Certain other Acts,as amended, implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of the 26th of October 2016, on Accessibility of the Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies, the Glass and Jewellery Museum in Jablonec nad Nisou undertakes to make its website accessible.

The Declaration of Accessibility relates to the following website:

COMPLIANCE STATUS

The afore-mentioned website partially complies with EN 301 549 V2 1.2 and the WCAG 2.0 standard, due to insufficiently accessible content or the exceptions set forth below.

ACCESSIBILITY OF CONTENT

The website contains files in PDF and DOC formats, which must be downloaded and viewed using the Word Viewer (for DOC) or Acrobat Reader (for PDF) programmes. The uploading of information from these files to the website would be complicated, because the HTML language does not support all formatting.

ACCESSIBILITY OF CONTENT

The banner andcalendar on the homepage, where the upcoming content can be seen, cannot be made accessible due to an excessive burden on the supplier. The content can be browsed on a separate page. Some of the documents arrive for publication on the website already inaccessible (from other authorities, generated by an accounting system, etc.). Nevertheless, the website operator is obliged to publish them, so they do so. Similarly, some older photographs and photo albums in the photo galleries lack an alternative textual description. Some videos uploaded directly to the website may be missing subtitles. In this case, bringing these shortcomings in line with the law and accessibility ruleswould be costly for the operator so, as per § 7 of Act no. 99/2019, this is not additionally addressed.

PREPARATION OF THIS DECLARATION OF ACCESSIBILITY

  • The Declaration of Accessibility was drawn up on 01/10/2020.

This Declaration was drawn up via an assessment performed by a third party – the technical operator of this website (the digital agency Dogfish.cz) according to the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines standard – WCAG 2.0.
