Finnish Glass Bienale 2025

Our director Milada Valečková and chief curator are curently on a professional trip to Finland, taking part in an international UNESCO meeting held as part of the Finnish Glass Biennale 2025 - in the renowned Finnish glassmaking centres of Riijimäki, littala, and Nuutajärvi.

The programme included a presentation by our museum focused on projects related to the inscription of handmade glassmaking on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

We are proude to share our experience from the Czech context and to contribute to the international dialoque on preserving glassmaking traditions.
