Bižuterie n. p.

founded in 1947

With a few exceptions, the pre-war Jablonec girdlery and metal engraving companies, pressing plants, and stamping plants were incorporated into the Kovová bižuterie national enterprise between 1947 and 1950. Over the following decades, the enterprise underwent many organizational and name changes. Its individual metal fashion jewellery manufacturing plants, which until 1965 were located in various facilities, were mostly concentrated in the so-called new plant near the Jablonec Dam. The pressing plant mainly produced technical parts, cup chains, badges, medals, and fashion jewellery blanks. In addition to new designs, it used a warehouse of tens of thousands of original tools confiscated from other companies. In 1988, the Soliter (silver and gold jewellery) and Silka (cast fashion jewellery) plants were spun off from the Bižuterie state-owned enterprise as independent state-owned enterprises. Metal production was placed under the Bižuterie, a. s. and continued to produce semi-finished products and the final range. This also included Bižuterie Česká mincovna and from 1996, the name of this division was used as the name of the entire company.

Silka

founded in 1953

Since 1953, the Bižuterie n. p. had a significant pressing plant no. 6 called "Silka." The pressing plant was mainly equipped with machines and tens of thousands of tools confiscated from German companies. It produced pressed fashion jewellery and accessories from base metals and their alloys, as well as cast aluminum fashion jewellery. It also produced medals, buttons for the Czechoslovak army and police, and rank insignia for uniforms, souvenir spoons and badges with real enamel, and from the 1960s onwards with acrylic lacquer. The pressing plant operated until 1965, when it partially moved to the so-called new plant near the Jablonec dam. After 1988, Silka became a joint-stock company. Due to the unfavorable development of sales of Jablonec fashion jewellery in the second half of the 1990s, it had to gradually reduce production until it ceased to exist in 2010.

Nisasport

founded in 1964

The Nisasport cooperative was founded as an affiliate of the LIAZ sports club. Its activities involved providing products and services for sporting activities. Its main product range consisted of sports badges, medals, metal souvenirs, buttons, car covers, and promotional prints. The metal pressing plant was located in the former Josef Hillebrand factory. The cooperative ceased operations in the early 1990s, and the pressing plant was purchased by Kronika, s. r. o., and is still used by the Simm, s. r. o. company.
